Community Outreach and Events Coordinator

Location: Sioux City, IA

We are currently seeking an individual to serve as a liaison between the community and Boys and Girls Home and Family Services, Inc.  Will assist in fundraising efforts, special events, internal and external communication activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required

Masters Level Outpatient Therapist

LOCATION: Sioux City, IA

We are currently looking for an LISW or other fully licensed therapist in our outpatient services office. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of clinical services, including but not limited to assessments, individual, family, and/or couples therapy.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

MSW or related MA required, LISW or LMHC required.  2 years experience preferred. 


MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (Full and Part-time)
Hours: Hourly (Nonexempt)

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Positions supervising clients ages 6 - 18 in our Residential Services programs. Participate in treatment plan development, group therapy, skills development and team meetings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree and one year full-time experience working with youth PREFERRED or High School/GED and two years full-time experience working with youth is required. Excellent benefits package for FULL-TIME employees. Pre-hire background check required.


CLASSROOM AID (Full time and Part-time)
Hours: M-F, 7:00 am-3:00 pm, Hourly (Nonexempt)

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

This position supervises middle and high school students in a classroom setting. Assist with assignments, developing social skills and behavior management in the classroom. Assist teacher as necessary with classroom paperwork.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree and one year full-time experience working with youth PREFERRED or High School/GED and two years full-time experience working with youth is required. Pre-hire background check required.


ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER POSITIONS 
Hours: M-F, 7am-3pm, Salaried (Exempt)

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Work with youth in elementary, middle or high school classrooms. This position requires an individual who can build a strong and nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. Classroom sizes are small and have a classroom aid to assist with classroom management. 

Applicants must have the ability to create lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of the student, deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons as well as possess strong classroom management skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required: A Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution with the state certification in secondary education. Special Education certification preferred.


SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Hours: Flexible, M-F, 7am-3pm, daily rate (Nonexempt)

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Be an integral part of improving the lives of children in a classroom setting. Work with children ages 6-18 in an alternative or residential classroom environment. This position requires someone who can build nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. Applicants must have the ability to deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons and possess strong classroom management skills.

Schedule: On-call, as needed to help with classroom coverage between the hours of 7am-3pm

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited institution with state certification in elementary and/or secondary education. Special Education certification preferred.


SCHOOL BASED THERAPIST (Full-Time)

Hours: M-F, generally follows daily school schedule, Salaried (Exempt)

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to work as a clinical therapist/social worker assigned to the Sioux City Community School District and their buildings. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of clinical services, including but not limited to assessment, individual and family therapy. This position follows SCCS calendar for scheduled vacation breaks, the month of July is included as vacation.

• Collaborate with SCCSD educators and administration to address presenting needs of children
• Provide clinical individual support to students and families
• Compile data necessary to fulfill requirements of the 4-year grant
• Attend training and/or meetings as required by SCCSD
• Provide training to education staff to assist in executing action plans within the classrooms

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
MSW or MA in a human services field from an accredited institution. Two years of experience preferred. Full licensure as LMHC, LMSW, LISW is required. Experience in PBIS is preferred. Candidate will be employed by Boys and Girls Home and Family Services, Inc. as a partner in collaboration with the Sioux City Community School District.
