Maintenance Technician (Full Time)

Hours: M-F, 7:30 am-3:30 pm, rotating on-call responsibilities in case of emergencies

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Boys and Girls Home and Family Services, Inc. is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep and repair on our property, equipment and grounds.

EDUCATION and/or Experience

Prior experience or training in building maintenance and/or construction trades preferred.  High school degree/GED preferred.


THERAPIST/CASE MANAGER, RESIDENTIAL UNIT (Full Time)

Hours: M-F, 8:30 am-5:00 pm

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

We are currently seeking qualified individuals to work as therapists for clients ages 6-18 years old in our residential treatment programs in Sioux City, IA. This position is responsible for treatment plan development, individual, group and family therapy. Must be able to work closely with treatment team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors in Social Work or other Human Services and one year related field required, or BA in Psychology or other related behavioral science field plus two years, experience required, Master's Degree preferred.


Nurse- RN/LPN (Full Time)

Hours: M-F 8:30 am-5:30 pm, rotating monthly on-call responsibilities

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in providing nursing services to children ages 6-18 with mental health issues in a residential treatment setting. You will be responsible for documenting care rendered and coordinating treatment with other disciplines.

Education and/or Experience

RN or LPN license required. One year of psychiatric experience preferred.


MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (Full and Part-time)
Hours: Positions open for 2pm-11pm, Overnights

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Positions supervising clients ages 6 - 18 in our Residential Services programs. Participate in treatment plan development, group therapy, skills development and team meetings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree and one year full-time experience working with youth PREFERRED or High School/GED and two years full-time experience working with youth is required. Excellent benefits package for FULL-TIME employees. Pre-hire background check required.


CLASSROOM AID (Part-time)
Hours: M-F, 7am-3pm

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

This position supervises middle and high school students in a classroom setting. Assist with assignments, developing social skills and behavior management in the classroom. Assist teacher as necessary with classroom paperwork.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree and one year full-time experience working with youth PREFERRED or High School/GED and two years full-time experience working with youth is required. Pre-hire background check required.


ELEMENTARY and/or HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER 
Hours: M-F, 7am-3pm

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Work with youth ages 6-18 in a residential setting. This position requires an individual who can build a strong and nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. Classroom sizes are small and have a classroom aid to assist with classroom management. 

Applicants must have the ability to create lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of the student, deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons as well as possess strong classroom management skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required: A Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution with the state certification in secondary education. Special Education certification preferred.


SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Hours: Flexible, M-F, 7am-3pm

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

Be an integral part of improving the lives of children in a classroom setting. Work with children ages 6-18 in an alternative or residential classroom environment. This position requires someone who can build nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. Applicants must have the ability to deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons and possess strong classroom management skills.

Schedule: On-call, as needed to help with classroom coverage between the hours of 7am-3pm

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited institution with state certification in elementary and/or secondary education. Special Education certification preferred.


SCHOOL BASED THERAPIST (Full-Time)

Hours: M-F, follow daily school schedule

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to work as a clinical therapist/social worker assigned to the Sioux City Community School District and their buildings. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of clinical services, including but not limited to assessment, individual and family therapy. This position follows SCCS calendar for scheduled vacation breaks, the month of July is included as vacation.

• Collaborate with SCCSD educators and administration to address presenting needs of children
• Provide clinical individual support to students and families
• Compile data necessary to fulfill requirements of the 4-year grant
• Attend trainings to streamline modalities utilized by the SCCSD and integrate into therapeutic approach to aid students according to expectations of the School District
• Provide training to education staff to assist in executing action plans within the classrooms

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
MSW or MA in a human services field from an accredited institution. Two years of experience preferred. Full licensure as LMHC, LMSW, LISW is required. Candidate will be employed by Boys and Girls Home and Family Services, Inc. as a partner in collaboration with the Sioux City Community School District.
